Hello Sir,

I like all the modifications and your riding reports with the great R 20 "Forrest" Must be nice to have a new rear triangle and canti-brakes!
It looks like your wheel-base has increased and that must improve the tracking of the bike as well. Would love to try it.
I built my R 20 with ALL new components mostly old Campy stuff. Runny 451 wheels. Have ridden it in New York, London, Paris, Munich, Seoul and Zurich. Its a hoot! And it can be street parked with put a worry. Its a great design. I recently bought a Swift in an attempt to save weight (caring a bike and two weeks worth of clothes in two suitcases is a bit difficult for me) The fact is teh R 20 is not THAT much lighter.. anyway It has a superior design of just about any folder IMO.. I know many would disagree.. My ideal folder would be a Titanium built R 20!
You seem to be the perfect man for the job!
Will send you a photo of my bike(s) sometime if you are interested.

best

This is the time when I'm happy to be in Portland, when rainy winters turn to somewhat rainy springs. Yeah sure, you'd rather have cold and snowy but dry. Then March rolls around.

Also, Donna demands a greenhouse.

I enjoyed reading this post. I do not live in a cold place, but always want to learn how to dress to ride in very cold temps; perhaps, as a preparatory step for a future move.

Peace :)

Wow. I am impressed and deeply jealous. I guess a life spent on and with bicycles has its rewards! Beautiful bikes and nice to see you've got an eye for the new as well. I have desired a fat bike for the last couple of years, but resources being what they are, don't have one yet.

Great Winter Cycling 101 page too... I followed your link on bikeforums and I'm really glad I did. Keep it up!

yeah, Red Deer Calgary: worst stretch of highway ever for black ice. We had a similar thing happen right in front of us one year: truck vs. truck both went off the highway and we sailed right through the middle untouched. Just like curling!
